HELLO! THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY.
My name is Petya and this place has been my true love since January of 2002 when I thought that I wanted to illustrate children's books for a living. I used to draw little girls with BIG heads. Hence the name of the site.
Since its very inception, the website has been hosted by, Dan of waferbaby.com. Dan is single-handedly responsible for my addiction to all things blog. It all started when he made the seemingly innocent suggestion that if I want to have a website, I might want to learn a little bit of html. And for that, I will love him forever.
After a seven-year whirlwind of adventures in the United States, I moved back to Bulgaria where I now live with my wonderful husband. If you ever see a spastic Bulgarian girl and a skinny American boy taking jumping pictures of each other you should know it's probably the two of us and should definitely come by and say hi.
Thank you for taking interest in my life. And please say hi when you get a chance! That would totally make my day!

Pete and Andrew: Neolog is a Bulgarian slang dictionary, which expands thanks to reader submissions. My first word, titvam, is a verb meaning 'to hang up after calling somebody on their cellphone'. It's a bizarre thing that people do...usually just to let somebody know that they've finished up ...work, school, whatever..or, basically, to give somebody a signal. I never use it as I'm totally confused over how the other person would know what you're trying to signal...unless you've already talked about it...confusing. It makes no sense in the United States where cellphone calls are dirt cheap!
Galia: please do!!! :D
Hey Petya,
It's so long since we chatted! I'm glad to see all is well with you. Things are great with me. I'm in Washington DC for 1 more month before I go traveling to Asia for 5 weeks. Just bought a new apartment in London and will move in October. Still a corporate lawyer but you can't have everything!
lots of love,
Shelley xx
Wow! I had no idea you read my blog!!! It is SO good to hear from you! We should definitely catch up! Let me know if you feel like coming to visit me here in Sofia! Loads of love!
Hey Petya, Dr. Ward is trying to get in contact with you. He emailed me to ask about you. Send him an email. He still has his Sewanee email address.
Sewanee angels falling all over...Thanks, babe!
Cell phone calls are basically free in America because we're the land of opportunity. As with most things, we benevolently give away cell phone minutes out of the goodness of our red-blooded American hearts. We also give away candy to all children and bricks of gold to all immigrants!
a diddy: of course! anything one can do, the US does it better!
