Returnees Anonymous: not anymore

Our Saturday night get together was something we all had felt nervous about. Did the fact that we have all spent significant periods of time abroad mean we actually had anything in common? Would we be able to find it? And what if we did?

One glass of wine into the evening, we had all forgotten about our initial worries and focused on enjoying the company instead.



Sometimes, like most of us, I worry about coming back to Bulgaria. I keep asking myself why. And then, why not? Things like our first Returnee Anonymous night out, however, remind me that one's happiness with the place they live is really a matter of attitude. Bulgaria is what we make of it. And, as far as I am concerned, having made the friends I met this past Saturday, I know I feel even more confident that this is where I need to be.
