Bulgarian and PROUD
Here's what President Bush (or, Жоро Бушов, as Kyle likes to call him) had to say to the Bulgarian people during his latest visit to Sofia:
These are big achievements for this country, and the people of Bulgaria ought to be proud of the achievements that they have achieved.

Did you watch the video? I'm so glad we overslept, I never would have been able to keep myself from inappropriate bursts of laughter.
He even used his "I call him (insert first name)" line again--he's gotten a lot of mileage out of that one on this trip--only he threw in a twist for Purvanov: "I call him George; he calls me George, too." Nobody laughed.
Two observations: he talked to the audience like they were schoolchildren; and he has definitely never heard of Bulgaria before.
Heheh Haven't had a chance to watch the entire video but I will now. What made you think that he'd never heard of Bulgaria before? I don't disagree...just really curious what made you think that ;)
You would think that with almost 8 years in office, he would have made the effort to learn a little bit about the other countries of the world... especially those that he calls "allies", but guess that is too much to expect. After all, improving his golf skills is far more important.
He has indeed achieved the unachievable by achieving to achieve some thoughts of achievement..or...yeah.. :)
P.S. Bush plays golf? Call me prejudiced but I thought he just hunts for giant armadillos and rides around in his ranch.

petya: You know that way people have of talking about something when they obviously have no idea what they're saying but are trying to convince you that they do (in other words, the way Bush always sounds)?
For instance, if I were pretending to know a person I would say their name repeatedly, and then mention a lot of details about them that suggested a real familiarity between us, all the while being careful only to say things that could probably be said of anyone. But I would really give myself away when, in reciting such platitudes, I stumbled upon something that I should have known might have been a little bit of a sore subject ("Bulgarians expect honesty and transparency from their government").
You're right, Petya. You *should* be proud of achieving all the achievments you've achieved.

(just to be clear, the last comment was a bit of self-ridicule, since I immediately realized that *I* had misspelled "achievement"!)
Come on people...you are too harsh on Joro Bushev. The truth of the matter is that he has many achievements. For one, he has achieved something big...he has managed to memorize a perfectly meaningless speech, plus the "jokes" that nobody got. What is truly disturbing is that there are people out there working for the American president who have written this "masterpiece'.
