You know, with what was left after making all the sporks, that is.
i don't get it...
been doing fine, although i still get less and less sleep and people still haunt me for more stuff to be done :)
but some great things have happened..
have a nice flight and stay in the states!

I worked there one summer, but I actually liked the atmosphere, it reminded me of the happy days of childhood, eating cakes in the hotel's lobby:)
Now it's some clear-minimalist-zen style inside, right? Unless they've renovated it again...
Oh!!! I never said it didn't look good! Actually, there were a lot of reeeeeally neat design details...remnants of the communist past that I absolutely LOVED.
All I was saying was that despite the renovation of the building and all the added modern touches...it still felt COMMUNIST and the people seem to be acting like it was 1986. Lots of grandma tourists...from Russia and Germany, one-man band singing Italian pop songs from the 80s in the restaurant, etc. etc.
Perhaps I'm an unrepentent Marxist, but I think the architecture looks pretty good too.
I remember visiting the Czech Republic (way back in 1993, just a few years after the Velvet Revolution) and Czech friends were saying to me "look at all those ugly communist built suburbs... so ugly." But I had a different perspective because I had just flown out of New York City, and what I was thinking to myself was "gee, these are much, much nicer than the projects in the Bronx (which were built around the same time), and the people in them seem much more relaxed... not nearly as much poverty and crime."
