HELLO! THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY.
My name is Petya and this place has been my true love since January of 2002 when I thought that I wanted to illustrate children's books for a living. I used to draw little girls with BIG heads. Hence the name of the site.
Since its very inception, the website has been hosted by, Dan of waferbaby.com. Dan is single-handedly responsible for my addiction to all things blog. It all started when he made the seemingly innocent suggestion that if I want to have a website, I might want to learn a little bit of html. And for that, I will love him forever.
After a seven-year whirlwind of adventures in the United States, I moved back to Bulgaria where I now live with my wonderful husband. If you ever see a spastic Bulgarian girl and a skinny American boy taking jumping pictures of each other you should know it's probably the two of us and should definitely come by and say hi.
Thank you for taking interest in my life. And please say hi when you get a chance! That would totally make my day!

Here's my favorite WTF moment from this story:
After calling Campbell "a very special woman," Chavez blasted President Bush for maintaining Washington's 46-year trade embargo against Cuba.
Oh no, wait, I think I see the connection.
Well...I THINK that Naomi Campbell has met with Castro in the past...So there IS a connection...or...is there?! Hehehehehhe

I do wonder what they talked about...
I don't care what one's political persuasion is... if given a chance to sit down in close quarters with Naomi Campbell, I would jump at the opportunity.
And, just for the record, I would probably have the same sort of ridiculously no-sequiter "segues" as Chavez!

I hope you would excuse the following bunch of profanities, but I just couldn't help myself writing it.
I've been trying to imagine the picture for some time - miss mile-long legs, slumped over the glass table just underneath the portrait of Simon Bolivar, driving her nosdrils above the best, presidential quality coke one can imagine. And senor Chavez enjoying every piece of her supermodeled buttocks at the price of 25 cents (or the equivalent value in local currency, paid for a killo of the aforementioned nasal pleasure). Singing "I've got a supermodel on my d...".
So, still asking yourselves why supermodels go to Central America? Or why Central American Presidentes keep inviting them?
The connection between these two is obvious! Naomi is leading a series of workshops for Chavez. The topic of the workshops is "How to generally become more aggressive"...

I love Chavez, because he clearly has the best sense of humor of any politician out there. Remember when he donated oil to the state of Massachusettes to help poor people survive the cold winter? I almost fell off my barstool laughing when I heard that.

I read the Slate article that Doctor J posted, and found it interesting that it left out several obvious facts. First, that Chavez won the election by a landside, and that (unlike elections in the United States) his were monitored by an international agency. So when the Slate article criticizes Sean Penn and Naomi Campbell for not knowing the will of the Venezuelan people... um... well, it seems they know better than Slate (unless by "people" what Slate actually means is "people who matter to the U.S.... you know... the oil executives.")
Second fact is that Chavez's social policies have been widely praised globally -- many people in the country are receiving education for the first time. Admittedly, his economic policies are a bit crazy, but when the CIA and oil executives are colluding to harass you, well, it makes politics harder than usual, eh?
